Paul's Pasta Shop

Paul's Pasta Shop is a hometown favorite. Paul and Dorothy Fidrych opened Paul's Pasta Shop in 1988. their goal has always been to make the most excellent pasta products in the region and serve fairly priced meals in a welcoming atmosphere.

All of their pasta is made fresh daily in-house using only the highest quality ingredients available. Their customers seem to agree as Paul and Dorothy have won numerous Readers' Choice Awards in Connecticut Magazine, for instance, the Best Italian, Best Vegetarian and Best Value in The New London Day's "Best of "Awards.

Their restaurant is located at 223 Thames St. in Groton, Connecticut, with a stunning view of the Thames River. You're welcome to join them for lunch or dinner, order take out. You can also bring home a pound of fresh pasta and sauce to cook at home.

In 1981, Dorothy graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. She's also an alumnus at St. Bernard High School in Uncasville, where she was raised. Paul graduated the following year from the Culinary Institute of America with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. He attended Stonington High School.

Having grown up in the area, Paul and Dorothy have a vast knowledge of the local landscape, including surrounding communities, businesses, and the people who live here.

Paul and Dorothy worked for many local restaurants over the years, including the Harborview Restaurant, Skipper's Dock, Steak Loft, Seaman's Inn, and many others. The experiences at these places have all helped to make Paul's Pasta the establishment it is today.

They know that you can expect a well-prepared meal consistently made using fresh pasta and the best quality ingredients. Their vision is to serve generous portions at reasonable prices, and you'll love the welcoming and friendly environment.
